Iodine is primarily absorbed in the small intestine. It is absorbed through a process called passive diffusion, where it moves across the intestinal lining and into the bloodstream. Once in the bloodstream, iodine is transported to the thyroid gland where it is used to produce thyroid hormones. Any excess iodine that is not needed by the body is excreted through the urine. **

Magnesium oxide is not well absorbed by the body. It has a low bioavailability, meaning that only a small percentage of the magnesium in magnesium oxide supplements is actually absorbed by the body. This is due to its poor solubility in water, which makes it difficult for the body to break down and utilize. As a result, other forms of magnesium, such as magnesium citrate or magnesium glycinate, are often recommended for better absorption. **
